About John...
"Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now." - Goethe
As a Realtor in Vancouver, I had the privilege of working for several well known brokerages such as Canada Trust Realty, International Pacific Properties, Sutton Group, and NRS Lederman. Given my knowledge and many years of experience, it didn't take long to find a place to hang my Real Estate licence in Nelson.
After three years with a local brokerage, I moved on to open my own office as owner/operator of Fair Realty for the East and West Kootenays. Since that time, I have expanded my involvement at the corporate level by stepping into the role of Vice President, and now recently being appointed President of Fair Realty.
Prior to making Nelson my home in 2003, I spent many years travelling from Vancouver to Nelson to visit family and friends. As a native of Vancouver, I attended UBC and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. It wasn't long after that that I found my passion.... Real Estate.
After more than a decade of selling Real Estate on the West Side of Vancouver, my family and I decided it was time to move to Nelson. Since then, I have grown a true appreciation for the beauty, diversity, and way of life the Kootenays has to offer those who call it home.
As a strong believer in community service, I became involved with the Nelson Rotary Club shortly after my move to Nelson. In the recent past, I held the position of President and Chair of the Nelson Business Association and served as a Director of the Nelson Chamber of Commerce. As a five-time Ironman finisher, I hold physical fitness, drive, and determination as a standard of excellence. As a leader in the development of the sport of triathlon in Nelson, I serve a membership of athletes as the founder and President of the Mountain Spirit Triathlon Club.
I have three wonderful children. My oldest daughter has graduated with a teaching degree from the University of Lethbridge and now resides in back in Nelson with her husband and 2 children. My son, a journeyman electrician, is finding steady work in his profession around the Kootenays. My youngest, just graduated from high school.
My common-law spouse Janice, born and raised in Nelson, and who was employed as a legal assistant with the Ministry of Justice for the past 27 years, resigned her position to take on the extensive marketing and administrative side of my business. This is a welcomed move and we both look forward to assisting you with your Real Estate needs. When I am not busy serving my clients, I love spending time with my family and embracing the Kootenay lifestyle.
So... I am hopeful that I have provided you with a brief overview of who I am in an effort to serve you in the best possible way I can. I look forward to an opportunity to earnestly and enthusiastically work with you.
Cheers!
John
